Big Planet

JAKARTA, FRIDAY - The existence of a foreign planet-planet outside the solar system more in line revealed that the development of technology observation object space. Not long after that, NASA and the Canadian astronom claim successful record foreign planet for the first time directly, the French report astronom new planet candidates.

Mary-Anne Lagrange and other astronom Observatory of Grenoble, France estimate the size of the object 7 times the mass planet Jupiter. Infrared image of the display shows a white dot in between the light near the star Beta Pictoris is located 70 light years from Earth (1 light year is comparable to 9.5 trillion kilometers). The recording was taken using a giant telescope at the European Southern Observatory (ESO Very Large Telescope).

Not yet known whether the object is a planet or not. The astronom must make observations and measurements to further confirm it. However, the likelihood is greater because it is in the disk of dust and gas around the star Beta Pictoris.

Dust disks around stars are believed to have long observed the planet since the first time in 1994. The existence of a planet that may explain why the dust disk is often fluctuate.

"In general, this is the interesting findings will be confirmed in the next few weeks because the Beta Pictoris is the bright star visible during the winter," said Pope Kallas, astronom from the University of California Berkeley team astronom chairman of the planet finder b Fomalhaut, the planet The first recorded successful camera.
